Carbon Monoxide (CO) is a colorless, odorless, and highly poisonous gas. In Kashmir, especially during winter, people commonly use gas-based heaters in closed rooms. Inadequate ventilation can cause carbon monoxide accumulation, leading to unconsciousness and death during sleep.
This project addresses this critical safety concern by designing a low-cost CO detector using Arduino UNO and MQ-7 gas sensor that automatically activates a buzzer alert and exhaust fan when dangerous CO levels are detected.
Continuous CO monitoring with MQ-7 sensor
Siren pattern buzzer activation on detection
DC motor fan automatically starts when threshold exceeded
Affordable components with easy-to-build design
